Q: What is CQ Analytics?
A: CQ Analytics is a reporting tool that quickly compiles your quoting data so you can see an overview of your quoting activity in CaterQuotes. You can filter those results by date, manufacturer, sales rep or customer.
Q: How do I access CQ Analytics?
A: Click the CQ Analytics tab at the bottom of the CaterQuotes window once this is opened to access Analytics. If you cannot see the Analytics tab, please contact our technical support team and we will work to resolve the issue.
Q: I opened CQ Analytics, but I don’t see any data?
A: CQ Analytics collects data directly from your CQ projects. Data will only appear if there are projects linked with your account, however if you have any saved projects and the data is not available, please contact us and our team will be happy to help.
Q: Can anyone else see my data?
A: Only those within your company that are assigned account administrator roles in CaterQuotes are able to see business Analytics data. CaterQuotes users only see data that is linked with their own projects.
Q: How do I use CQ Analytics?
A: CQ Analytics allows the user to filter their search options by clicking on the icons in the tables displayed. To view for example a manufacturer markup that is charged to a specific customer, the user must firstly locate the BY MFR table then click on the filter icon in the row listing the manufacturer-of-interest. Here, in the BY CUSTOMER table, the user can view the markup charged to customers for the selected manufacturer. The option to filter this further is available by clicking the filter icons for other rows in the tables, or you can export your current view by clicking on the ‘Excel Export’ button at the top of the page.
Q: How can I change my view?
A: You may change the tables displayed in your Analytics dashboard by clicking on the ‘Edit Layout’ button located at the top of the screen. From here, deselect the tables and graphs to remove them and/or select a table and click on the up or down buttons to change the order in which it is displayed.
Q: How can I see data for projects that I won or projects related to a specific market segment or customer type?
A: You can assign statuses such as ‘won’, ‘lost’ or ‘in progress’ as well as marketing categories like ‘QSR’ or ‘Government’ to a project in the ‘Settings’ section of the ‘Details’ panel on the Projects screen. By assigning these statuses and marketing categories to each of your projects, you can filter these statuses and categories. Your CQ account administrator can change what statuses and categories can appear in the drop-down menu.
Q: How do I export my data?
A: To export the data which is displayed on the screen, simply click the ‘Excel Export’ button located at the top of the screen and save the file to your computer or other device.
Q: Is CQ Analytics available for Mac computers?
A: CQ Analytics is not currently available for Mac computers
