CaterQuotes has appointed Rob Gibson as Managing Director of the Birmingham-based software company. With full responsibility for the leadership and sales development of CaterQuotes, Rob will lead the CQ team to meet the company’s strategic goals to achieve continued growth for the business.
The appointment of a CQ Managing Director follows a record-breaking period of growth for the quotation and design software provider. The accomplished sales and marketing veteran, who starts his role on June 10, will now aim to shape new strategies and processes to enhance the customer service and support functions of CaterQuotes as it expands its product portfolio.
Rob said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining CaterQuotes at such an exciting time – we are welcoming new publishers and subscribers, unveiling new features and plug-ins and I’m looking forward to taking the business even further in coming years.
“I will be taking over two decades of experience in the foodservice industry and applying this knowledge to work closely with the CQ team and AutoQuotes to further cement CQ’s place as the UK’s leading provider of technology software and solutions for this market.”
Before accepting the role of Managing Director at CQ, Rob was operating his own business, Kitchen and Restaurant Projects, and held sales leadership roles at Lincat and Falcon Foodservice Equipment where he achieved a number of sales milestones.
“Rob’s track record of growing businesses and his strong knowledge and relationships in the industry will be vital as we take CaterQuotes to the next level,” said Jim Contardi, the newly appointed CEO at AutoQuotes. “We are pleased to have a talented leader like Rob at the helm of our U.K. operations. We are in a period of tremendous growth for our company in the U.S. and abroad. Rob’s experience and vast skill set will be key to CQ’s continued growth.”
In the coming months, CQ is set to release a new mobile application, a design application for Revit, and an enhanced inventory management capability, and a reporting and analytics tool for publishing vendors.
